Get started: Structure app logic

With your user interface designed, you're ready to set up your application logic. In Uiflow, this involves visually defining the flow of events across your application components. This page outlines how to:

Create a logic flow

Application logic is divided into individual logic flows that determine functionality for pieces of your application.
To create a logic flow:
  1. 1.
Click the Logic tab to enter the Logic view.
  2. 2.
Click the layers icon to open the Explorer panel.
  3. 3.
In the Logic Flows section, click the Add logic flow icon. This adds a new logic flow to your application, which you can access in the Logic Flows section.

Build a flow

To add interactivity to your application, connect components and Design References in a logic flow to transfer data or invoke calls.
To build a flow:
  1. 1.
Click the Logic tab to enter the Logic view.
  2. 2.
Select the logic flow where you want to start building logic.
  3. 3.
Drag-and-drop Logic components and Design References into the logic panel.
Note: Click on the + above the layers icon to find your Design References.
  4. 4.
Connect the interface nodes as required. In this example, the app's onPageLoad event invokes the REST API. Upon a successful response, the REST API component activates the Product Price Input component.
