Add a custom domain

Uiflow enables you to specify a custom domain for your production environment. This makes your app live and accessible from that domain.
Note: Custom Domains is currently in beta. In the future, this feature may be associated with a paid plan.

Add a custom domain

To add a custom domain to your Uiflow app:
  1. 1.
Open the Uiflow app you want to deploy to a custom domain.
  2. 2.
Click the globe icon at the top right of the screen. This opens a Connect a Domain pop-up window.
  3. 3.
Populate the Domain Name field with your domain's URL and click Add Domain.
  4. 4.
Once your domain is validated, click Continue.
A window appears displaying the domain records you must provide to your domain provider.
  5. 5.
Copy the domain records and provide them to your domain provider. See the Domain registrars page for links to configuration documentation from popular domain registrars.
  6. 6.
Click Close on the Custom Domains window and click Deploy at the top right of the screen.
  7. 7.
Enable the Production checkbox and click Deploy to Selected Environment(s).
Note: You must redeploy the app before you can test the connection.

Test the connection

Before you publicize your custom domain, ensure you test the connection from your custom domain connection to your app.
To test the domain connection:
  1. 1.
Click the globe icon at the top right of the screen.
  2. 2.
Once the window appears, you should see Connected next to your custom domain. If you see Not Connected, click Test Connection.
Note: If you continue to see Not Connected, ensure you provided the correct A and CNAME settings to your domain provider.

Delete a custom domain

When you delete a custom domain, your application domain returns to the default address. This does not delete the application.
To delete a custom domain:
  1. 1.
Click the globe icon at the top right of the screen.
  2. 2.
Once the window appears, click Delete Domain.
  3. 3.
Click Confirm Deletion to delete the domain.
Note: Once you confirm the deletion, your application is inaccessible from your custom domain.
